Looking back over the past four weeks much as been acomplished, internally and externally for Ty Menyn.
The doors and window frames went in just before the scratch coat went on the outside walls.
Dixie , the roofer finally finished all the roofing work and Paul the plaster has completed rendering the outside. Just a couple of walls need plastering inside and then we need to let everywhere dry out.
Neil and Keith did some head scrtaching when they fitted the staircase in the hallway, it was a very tight fit. I don’t need to climb the ladder now to get to the Masterbedroom.
Work continues on the kitchen units, which are proving to be a pain….. the oven housing doesn’t fit the oven and the microwave !!!! Help Huws Gray !!!!!! Hugh, th electrician will be up at the weekend to carry on with the lights and fitments.
I have just ordered four central heating radiators and a glass splashback for the hob. Not able to order any more goods until the underfloor heating is down….. hopefully that will be after Hugh ‘s been.
Last week was very exciting when the old caravan was taken out over the field and the new one brought in the same way. Mon Caravans did a splendid job guiding it inch by inch on boards so that they wouldn’t damage the field belonging to Alan the farmer. There were at least six men working over the two days making sure it was sited correctly. Bedwyr told us it was the longest they had to manhandle a caravan to get it on site……. they were fantastic.
Over the weekend I have been sorting out the inside of the caravan, putting in new curtains and headboards. Keith and Neil will be working on the new decking and balcony area this week as the first booking is 31st March.
I sent out a “Mail Chimp”offer on Ty Teiliwr £150 for 3 night accommodation…. got two bookings!!!!
